This is a site based role in Birkenhead. This opportunity is ideal for a part qualified Management Accountant to join a highly recognisable and unique business. Salary/benefits: £35-45,000pa DOE Study Support Early finish on a Friday 26 Days Annual Leave Job Duties: Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including profit & loss, variance analysis, and KPIs Performing key month-end activities such as journal postings, accruals, prepayments, and cost centre reviews Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining supporting schedules Supporting budgeting and forecasting cycles in collaboration with operational teams Performing bank, credit card, and cash reconciliations Assisting in the preparation and submission of VAT returns, ensuring compliance with HMRC requirements Identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes, automate tasks, and strengthen financial controls Supporting internal and external audit requirements Undertaking ad hoc reporting and financial analysis to aid operational decisions Ideal experience Part-qualified accountant (CIMA preferred, ACCA/AAT also considered) Experience in a similar finance role or within a management accounting function Confident with accruals, prepayments, reconciliations, and financial reporting Excellent Excel skills and familiarity with accounting systems (e.g. Sage, SAP, Oracle - training provided if needed) Experience in manufacturing environments is advantageous but not essential
