Overview
Senior Carer - Residential Care Home - Bank role at Barchester Healthcare. This Bank position provides cover as needed (e.g. for annual leave or sick leave). Hours and days vary.
Responsibilities
* Lead a team of care staff on shift, including training, supervision and delegating duties.
* Assist with administering and ordering medication, reviewing and updating resident care plans and risk assessments.
* Liaise with GPs, district nursing teams and resident family members.
* Respect residents\' dignity and preferences and contribute to a warm, welcoming and vibrant environment.
About You / Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) to join as Residential Senior Care Assistant.
* Previous experience in a residential care setting with proven team leadership skills and the ability to make appropriate decisions to support residents\' needs and wellbeing.
* Warm-hearted, compassionate and committed to providing individualized care; openness to ongoing training and career development (paths to Care Practitioners, Care Community Leads or nursing pathways).
