Role
You will be a key member of the Manufacturing Engineering team, responsible for developing best‑in‑class PCBA and Product Testing capability, diagnostic support and ensuring reliable manufacturing operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Lead a small team to meet departmental objectives and provide technical support to manufacturing.
* Take the lead in delivering new products, processes and equipment into manufacturing using best‑in‑class automated manufacturing processes and test solutions.
* Design, specify, develop, validate and document automated test and verification processes to meet manufacturing requirements and future customer needs.
* Collaborate with manufacturing and R&D teams to develop data acquisition from key test and manufacturing equipment (K stations) for data‑driven decisions and improvements.
* Provide exceptional support to manufacturing through structured problem solving and root‑cause analysis to diagnose issues and provide robust solutions.
* Work closely with external suppliers and internal teams (R&D, PVL, quality, manufacturing and engineering) to resolve high‑priority issues.
* Provide good quality “design for manufacture and test” inputs for the project development teams.
* Fault find and repair precision electronic PCBA’s.
* Support the manufacturing and test processes of all PCBA variants through in‑house processes, equipment and IPC standards; provide training where applicable.
* Maintain high‑quality documentation using company documentation systems.
* Participate in and lead continuous improvement activities to develop and improve manufacturing capability in PCBA, product manufacturing and calibration processes.
The Person
We are seeking a candidate with the following skills and attributes:
* Ideally a degree in electronics or a related engineering discipline.
* Proficiency in CAD for designing electronic circuits.
* Advanced electronic and electrical design measurement competence.
* Strong leadership skills, able to lead others at all levels.
* Experience designing electronic circuits and PCB layouts for test and programming equipment using modern CAD packages.
* Skilled in structured root‑cause analysis of advanced high‑sensitivity electronics.
* Understanding and experience with firmware and software, and basic coding ability.
* Experience working with modern SMT/PCBA and AOI machines and related processes and equipment.

This role is offered on a full‑time, permanent basis. Salary depends on experience and includes benefits. Candidates must be able to drive to the rural site.
