You will focus on achieving a thriving volunteer effort, supporting operations, building a positive volunteer ethos with staff, assisting volunteer recruitment campaigns, delivering training, and identifying improvements in the volunteer experience. Your collaborative communication style will ensure you work in partnership with key stakeholders such as Visitor Experience, Learning & Engagement, Membership, Preservation/Conservation, Digital, and Curatorial.
You will support volunteers by organising rotas, briefings, and deploying teams responsively to daily needs. You will be responsible for the day-to-day communications, welfare, and pastoral care of a designated volunteer team, and are required to deliver elements of the volunteer training programme to build understanding, drive high standards, and empower our workforce, as part of an organisational-wide commitment to the volunteer ethos.
Volunteering Officers should understand the organisational objectives for visitors and promote products and services (including events, guidebooks, membership, tours, volunteering, shops, and cafes) to maximise IWM’s revenue and financial sustainability.

2. 2x 22 hrs Volunteering Officers at any London branch
