What you will be doing
* Lead a team of Health Care Assistants, acting as a positive role model and trusted point of support.
* Assist with personal care, meals and daily living tasks.
* Administer medication (following training and guidelines).
* Update care plans and maintain accurate records.
* Deliver the highest standard of person‑centred care, promoting dignity, independence and wellbeing for every resident.
* Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic environment.
* Support family members and visitors.
What you need to succeed
* At least a minimum of 2 years’ experience in delivering care or as a Senior Care Assistant.
* Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care (or willing to sign up or working towards it).
* Trained in medication administration.
* Excellent people and customer service skills.
* Ability to induct, supervise and mentor junior staff.
* Time‑management skills to delegate tasks within a team.
* Excellent communication skills – verbal (within the team and to other external professionals) and writing (ability to write and maintain care plans) and digital skills.
