Being a Head Chef at Young's
We believe every pub should be different. This means that you'll be writing your own recipes that match the food vision of your business using fresh seasonal ingredients. The food vision could focus on showcasing local produce, country pub classics, seafood, small plates and sharers, dry-aged meat - each pub is unique, and it's up to you as head chef to put your own creative stamp on that vision. We work with fresh, seasonal produce, so the menu should constantly evolve to showcase these fantastic ingredients when they are at their best. * Experience championing excellent service through quality food, either as a Head Chef or Sous Chef

We are looking for a Head Chef for The Greyhound in Carshalton, a pub proud to be at the heart of the community. Our food offering focuses on traditional pub classics, firm favourites, and comfort food, elevated using fresh, seasonal ingredients. We seek a people-focused Head Chef passionate about developing and nurturing their team, with experience in a 100% fresh food kitchen. Volume experience is essential as we are a popular destination for locals and overnight guests, offering al fresco dining, Sunday roasts, and celebrations. You will oversee all aspects of kitchen management and be the creative force behind the menu, crafting recipes aligned with our food vision.

The Greyhound Pub & Hotel has stood overlooking the beautiful Carshalton Ponds since the 1700s. Featuring a pond view Swan Dining Room, dog-friendly bar, and a lively garden with heated huts, it is the perfect place for drinks, Sunday roasts, or a coffee with friends and family.
