We are currently partnering with a Social Housing Association based in Bristol, who are recruiting for a Governance Manager to join their growing team on a 6-month contract, with opportunities to go permanent following this.
This is a full-time position with a flexible daily rate of pay. The start date is subject to notice.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
1. Managing the organisation’s corporate governance services and supporting the Director of Business Services to ensure high standards of governance, legislation, and regulation.
2. Ensuring the highest levels of governance for the business, its boards, and committees.
3. Managing compliance with company law and other legal obligations, including record keeping and providing advice on decision-making processes and good governance practices.
4. Reviewing and recommending changes in policy, procedures, and working practices to improve service delivery and support strategic objectives.
5. Producing accurate and timely governance reports for board and committee meetings.
6. Line managing a Risk & Assurance Business Partner.
7. Supporting recruitment and onboarding of Board Members.
Requirements:
1. Experience managing a team.
2. Public sector experience.
