Permanent | £25,126 PA | Full Time | Southend
We are seeking a skilled Sous Chef to support the delivery of high quality catering services. The successful candidate will assist in managing kitchen operations and ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
 * Assist in planning, preparing, and serving diverse menus
 * Support supervision and development of kitchen staff
 * Ensure compliance with food hygiene and safety regulations
 * Manage stock control and assist with ordering supplies
 * Deputise for the Head Chef when required
Requirements:
 * Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in large scale catering (60-80 covers)
 * Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen equipment
 * Strong communication and teamwork skills
 * Ability to work efficiently under pressure
 * DBS check is required for this role
 * Level 1 and Level 2
Working Hours:
 * Rolling shift pattern: Early shift (7am – 3pm) and Mid shift (10am – 6pm)
 * Working every other weekend
