An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the team as a Pharmacy Assistant at the Pre-Packing Unit (PSU) located within Whipps Cross Hospital, part of the Pharmacy Technical Services (PTS).
PTS is a licensed manufacturing unit with three sites: Royal London Hospital, St. Bartholomew’s Hospital, and Whipps Cross Hospital.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop knowledge, skills and experience in day-to-day technical services work. In conjunction with other members of the team, the post holder will be responsible for ensuring that the department is continually meeting key performance targets so that patients receive a safe and efficient service.
Assist the Section Manager in maintaining adequate supplies of materials and assisting with operational activities within the Pre-Packing area at Whipps Cross Hospital. This includes assisting with planning of materials management, GMP inspection and labelling, assembly, re-packing, batching and receiving. The post holder will also be tasked with ensuring that all documentation is kept current and updated in a timely manner, in compliance with MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency) audits and internal review requirements.
Main duties of the job
This post is based within Pharmacy Technical Services based at Whipps cross hospital. The post holder will have the opportunity to develop knowledge, skills and experience in day-to-day technical services work. In conjunction with other members of the team, the post holder will ensure that the department is continually meeting key performance targets so that patients receive a safe and efficient service.
There will be set objectives and a full, guided programme of learning in terms of working in a technical services environment.

Essential criteria
1. GCSE grades A/C or 4-9 in •English Language •Maths •Double Science.
2. NVQ QCF Level 2 in pharmacy services.
Experience
