About the role: The Assistant Store Manager plays a key role in achieving standards, leads by example, embraces our entrepreneurial spirit, and inspires their teams in close collaboration with the Store Manager.
Responsibilities
* Together with the Store Manager, identify opportunities and collaborate with others to grow the business or improve performance.
* Consistently foster a positive store experience by treating customers and staff fairly and consistently.
* Ensure door-to-floor best practices, visual merchandising directives, and standards for sales floor and back room are executed; continually review standards for clear and consistent execution.
* Communicate regularly with the buying team to ensure stock levels are correct and demographically appropriate.
* Analyze store-level reports and create action plans to improve results.
* Communicate daily with staff on sales goals and key performance indicators, store results, product sales, and other information to help achieve goals.
* Manage manpower planning, recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and orientation processes.
* Provide training and coaching for employees (daily, weekly, monthly) and ensure documentation.
* Make commitments and decisions on available information, even under stress and changing conditions.
* Set challenging but attainable goals emphasizing service quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
* Coordinate action plans while considering consequences and budget decisions.
* Convey clear ideas and goals, manage implementation, and achieve measurable results.
* Create energy and excitement around shared goals and values.
About YOU
* Extensive experience delivering high-level customer service in a brand retailer is essential.
* Effective communicator with the ability to build relationships easily.
* Team player who recognizes and celebrates contributions and achievements of others.
* Confident in giving feedback that promotes positive behavioral change.
* Strong people management skills with the ability to resolve conflicts and unproductive disagreements.
* Ability to work with change and pace; energetic and authentic presence on the shop floor.
