The role
Waking Night Residential Support Worker – Children's Residential Home Location: Crewe Area Salary: £13.85 – £14.84 per hour ⏰ Working Hours: 5 on, 2 off shift pattern | 10:00pm – 9:00am Service: Children's Residential Home Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time Sponsorship is not available The Role Our client is seeking a dedicated and reliable Waking Night Residential Support Worker to join their children's residential service in the Crewe area. As a Waking Night Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and emotional support of young people throughout the night. You will be responsible for maintaining a calm and structured environment, completing safeguarding and welfare checks, and responding appropriately to any incidents or needs that arise during your shift. Who We Are Looking For… ✔️ Experience working within an Ofsted Registered Children's Home ✔️ A genuine passion for supporting children and young people ✔️ Strong communication and record-keeping skills ✔️ Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures ✔️ Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations ✔️ Reliable, resilient, and able to work independently during night shifts Why Apply? ✨ Competitive hourly rate ✨ Stable full-time shift pattern ✨ Opportunity to make a genuine difference to young people's lives ✨ Ongoing training and development opportunities ✨ Supportive management and team environment Additional Screening Requirements ✔️ Full UK Driving Licence is preferred ✔️ Applicants must have previous experience working within an Ofsted Registered Children's Home ✔️ Applicants from Healthcare, NHS, Adult Care, Supported Living, Domiciliary Care, Nursing Homes, Mental Health Services, or similar settings without Children's Residential experience will not be considered ✔️ Applicants requiring sponsorship will not be considered ⚠️ Individuals with only CQC experience and / or who have not worked in an Ofsted Registered Children's Home will not be considered.
