The Room Leader is a qualified childcare professional with responsibility for the day-to-day running of their room, caring for children, maintaining a high-quality, stimulating learning environment, supervising staff, and imparting their knowledge and skills to others. The Room Leader should act in a supportive role to the Manager/Deputy Manager, contributing to ideas and overall development of the setting.
Responsibilities
* Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment.
* Ensure work is equally shared between room members.
* Adhere to policies and procedures.
* Organize the designated room with a system that helps organization for staff and children.
Skills and Qualifications
* Must have level 3 childcare or above.
* 2 years of experience in a similar role or day-care setting.
* Safeguarding and child protection knowledge.
* Health and Safety knowledge.
* Fire awareness training.
* Paediatrics first aid (must be completed before the start date if offered the role).
