Job Description
Working in a hybrid style, based at home and 5 City Square, you will work part time, 30 hours per week in the Fostering, Adoption, Permanence and Kinship Team.

Requirements
You will have a degree or Post Graduate qualification in Social Work.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the operation of statutory panel systems and decision-making meetings for children requiring alternative permanent care and for the foster care service. You will oversee practice in this area and contribute to the improvement and development of service provision.
The Individual
You will have experience of partnership working, working knowledge of Children's Services legislation, policies, and guidance, especially in fostering, kinship, adoption, and permanence work, including fostering and permanence panels. You should also have knowledge of report writing related to Panel work.
You will possess excellent verbal and written skills, the ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and have good organisational and presentation skills.
You should be flexible to work hours according to the needs of the job.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check before a formal offer of employment is made by Dundee City Council.
