Drainage Engineer Field Based
Location: London & South East
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am 5:00pm
We are currently seeking an experienced and customer-focused Drainage Engineer to join a growing team in a field-based, client-facing role covering London and the South East. This role involves attending both domestic and commercial properties to diagnose and resolve drainage issues while delivering a high standard of service and professionalism on-site.
Key Responsibilities
* Attend both emergency and scheduled drainage call-outs
* Investigate, diagnose, and resolve drainage issues using CCTV surveys, high-pressure water jetting, rods, and other specialist equipment
* Carry out drain clearance, descaling, root cutting, patch lining, and minor excavation work
* Communicate directly with customers to explain issues and recommended solutions
* Identify opportunities for additional remedial work where appropriate
* Ensure full compliance with health and safety procedures at all times
* Maintain high service standards and contribute positively to the companys reputation
* Participate in an on-call rota to support 24/7 service delivery
Requirements
* Minimum 3 years drainage experience (essential)
* Strong customer service and communication skills
* HPWJ certification preferred
* Plumbing knowledge and/or drainage tanker experience (desirable)
* Full, clean UK driving licence
* CSCS card preferred
* Comfortable using mobile devices and job management apps on-site
Compliance
* Candidates must be willing to undergo Drug & Alcohol (D&A) testing in line with company and client requirements
* A DBS check may be required due to the nature of work at certain sites
