Great opportunity for an experienced tech leader to join a UK software company that’s building out their platform engineering capability.
This is a strategic leadership role, reporting directly to the CTO, leading a team of 12 platform engineers responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and common platforms used by a wider department of around 160 technologists.
The platform team is transitioning from multiple smaller teams to a unified team with shared responsibility for the entire business. You’ll be responsible for fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability through open communication and strong relationship-building.
You will define the vision, goals, and roadmap for the team, enabling them to leverage AWS technologies, streamline application development, and improve the efficiency and agility of the IT infrastructure.
Your key priorities include:
1. Merging multiple AWS accounts into one
2. Completing the data centre migration to AWS
3. Defining and implementing standards across DevOps capabilities
In return, they offer a salary of up to £120k plus benefits including a bonus, pension, and remote working from anywhere in the UK.
