Finance Assistant Glasgow-based Housing Association Temporary Contract, minimum 3 months (with potential to transition to perm) 35 hours per week | Full time in office Salary: EVH Grade 5: £30,250 - £33,617 The role We are hiring for a Finance Assistant to join a Glasgow based (West) Housing Association team on a temporary basis for a minimum of 3 months, with potential to extend or move into a permanent role. This role is to support the finance team during a transition period and to ensure there is no backlog in day-to-day finance processing. An immediate start is preferred. Working pattern 35 hours per week Full time in office (West side of Glasgow) Flexible start and finish times Core hours are 10:00-12:00 and 14:00-16:00 Flexibility over lunch times Key responsibilities Purchase Ledger processing Cashbook management Bank reconciliations Petty cash Accurate coding to budgets and nominal codes Following established finance processes and procedures General finance administration to support the wider team Essential experience Previous experience in Purchase Ledger Cashbook processing Bank reconciliations Petty cash Comfortable working to set processes and protocols Strong attention to detail Desirable experience Experience within social housing Exposure to rents or tenant accounting Experience using SDM or Sage Financial systems Systems The organisation is currently transitioning to Rubixx, with data input and invoices taking place in SDM and Sage. Experience in SDM or Sage would be beneficial but is not essential.
