We are looking for a Buyer to join our infrastructure team for the A47 highways project based in Norwich.
What you'll do:
* Minimise the cost of plant, materials and services to Skanska.
* Use Oracle ERP to place orders, manage tenders and run reports.
* Negotiate with suppliers and raising orders.
* Preparation of material enquiry documents, tender review sheets and recommendation reports.
* Assist lead tender activities and meet bid deadlines.
* Visit suppliers and manufactures to develop relationships.
* Support the business by expediting materials and services to meet project deadlines.
What you'll bring to the role:
* Experience of transactional and tactical procurement.
* Experience of highways/civil engineering.
* Knowledge of Oracle or similar ERP systems.
* Holding MCIPS or working towards.
