The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Compliance Manager to support the Senior Compliance Manager and contribute to the delivery of the function’s strategic plans. This role offers a wide breadth of responsibility, from hands-on compliance monitoring and advisory to involvement in governance, policy, regulatory engagement and project support.
This is a great opportunity for a proactive compliance professional with UK general insurance experience who is ready to take ownership and make an impact across two regulated markets.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the compliance monitoring function across UK and Ireland legal entities
* Provide day-to-day advice and guidance to the business on regulatory matters
* Ensure compliance with UK and Irish regulatory frameworks (FCA, PRA, CBI, BaFin)
* Lead horizon scanning activity and ensure timely communication of changes to the business
* Maintain and localise compliance policies in line with applicable laws and regulations
* Act as a key contact for sanctions, licensing, and regulatory queries
* Maintain compliance registers and reporting logs
* Lead and deliver a robust compliance monitoring plan, including thematic reviews and audits
* Coordinate responses to regulatory data requests and ad-hoc queries
* Support compliance training across the business and ensure accurate recordkeeping
* Input into governance processes, policy tracking, and internal/external audit actions
* Work on regulatory and business projects alongside the wider compliance team
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience in a compliance role within general insurance (ideally non-life)
* Strong working knowledge of FCA, PRA and Conduct Risk requirements
* Familiarity with the Central Bank of Ireland and Irish regulatory landscape is a plus
* Ability to interpret and apply regulatory frameworks to business operations
* Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills
* Comfortable managing a broad remit across multiple entities
