An excellent opportunity to join the Operations team at Leonardo Helicopters as a Material Delivery Manager, playing a key role in supporting the successful delivery of aircraft build programmes.
Job Description
As the Material Delivery Manager, you will manage and deliver material supply to the aircraft build facility, ensuring programme milestones and aircraft deliveries are achieved on time and within financial budgets. You will act as the primary material point of contact for the Programme Integrated Project Team (IPT), ensuring all business stakeholders are fully informed of material status, risks, and required escalations.
Requirements of a highly visible role with strong planning and stakeholder management capabilities within a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment. You will also lead and support a small team, making this an excellent opportunity for people management experience.
What You Will Do As a Material Delivery Manager
* Manage, motivate and develop a team responsible for ensuring parts arrive on schedule, escalating material issues and executing solutions.
* Ensure booking of hours and headcount for the material delivery team aligns with budgets and resolve discrepancies.
* Coordinate and lead material projects with Procurement, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering, MRP, Aircraft Management and Programmes to deliver material solutions.
* Integrate proactively within the IPT structure, providing clear, transparent communication of material status and risks to the whole business.
* Provide professional advice on material issues and recommend solutions to improve business effectiveness.
