An ambitious and well-respected secondary school in Westminster is seeking a dedicated and passionate Food Technology Teacher to join their thriving Design & Technology department on a permanent, full-time basis from September 2025. For the right candidate, there is an exciting opportunity to take on a Head of Year position.

* Salary: MPS/UPS + TLR1c (for potential Head of Year responsibility)
The Role
You will deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, fostering creativity, independence, and practical life skills. The department is well-resourced, with modern facilities and a strong commitment to practical, skills-based learning.
In addition, there is a Head of Year opportunity for an experienced teacher with a proven ability to support student wellbeing, lead on behaviour and attendance, and work collaboratively with staff and families to ensure strong pastoral outcomes.
The ideal candidate will:
* Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Have experience teaching Food Technology at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 is desirable)
* Be passionate about developing students’ culinary and nutritional understanding
* Be a reflective and committed practitioner with high expectations
* Possess excellent classroom management and communication skills
* Be open to pastoral leadership (if applying for the Head of Year role)
* Demonstrate the ability to contribute positively to a cohesive and driven school community
