Bespak are looking for a Laboratory Technician for the King's Lynn site, PE30 2JJ. The salary for this 12-month fixed-term contract is £27,423k. Our generous benefits package includes 28 days leave plus bank holidays, 8% company pension contribution to employees 3%, onsite parking and medical / dental / health / life assurance.
This is initially a 12-month fixed-term contract, but there is the potential for this to be extended.
Working Pattern – Mon to Fri – 8am to 4:30pm – There could be some flexibility on these times, within the needs of the business.
As a Laboratory Technician in our Analytical Services Laboratory, you will play a key role in performing a range of physical tests of Bespak’s products, generating data that shall directly support ongoing product development. Your main responsibility will be to conduct testing on incoming goods, components, and final products, operating specialist equipment to generate accurate data to cGMP standards. You will ensure the integrity of all data by following approved procedures and highlighting any unusual observations to a senior team member. Working within the Quality Management System, you will help maintain a culture that prioritises health, safety, and product quality. Your work will directly contribute to ensuring our products meet all required specifications and deadlines.
As a Laboratory Technician, your duties will include:
* Performing physical testing on products and their components. Examples include:
* Force testing
* Shot weight testing
* Particulate measurement
* Operating specialist laboratory equipment and associated analysis software.
* Generating and documenting accurate data to cGMP standards.
* Following approved laboratory procedures and quality management systems.
* Reporting any out-of-specification results to senior staff.
* Upholding the highest health, safety, and quality standards.
Laboratory Technician, preferred key skills and experience:
* A GCSE A to C or equivalent in Maths or Science.
* Previous experience of working in a laboratory environment.
* Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
* Strong IT literacy, including the MS Office suite.
* Ability to meticulously follow written and verbal instructions.
* A proactive, 'can-do' attitude with great initiative.
