Ward33 are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Band 3 Healthcare Assistant tojoin our Trauma and Orthopaedic department. There is an exciting opportunity tobe a part of a dynamic team providing high-quality care to patients undergoingorthopaedic treatments and surgeries.
You will work alongside other healthcareprofessionals such as Orthopaedic surgeons, Orthogeriatric consultants, Physiotherapists,and Advanced Clinical Practitioners. Communication will be a vital part of yourrole to ensure safe and holistic care. We take direct admissions from theEmergency Department and also repatriations from other hospitals.
Thesuccessful candidate will be expected to model and uphold the Trust values andbehaviours, providing a positive Culture and environment for their colleaguesand patients.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate willbe responsible for:
Maintaining a high standard of clinical work when carrying out tasks
Keeping up to date with all mandatory and role specific training

Person Specification
* Confidentiality understanding of Information Governance
* Knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety
* Knowledge of clinical patient observations
* Willingness to undertake competencies supported by clinical skills training and education to gain theoretical underpinning knowledge in a range of clinical interventions and use of test equipment e.g. blood glucose monitors, venepuncture, cannulation etc.
* Knowledge and understanding of current healthcare issues

Experience
