Reports To: Commercial Director

Location: Head Office, London (3 days a week in the office)

JOB SUMMARY:
This Senior Category Insights Manager will support the internal and external relationships and opportunities for growth for all Revlon brands both offline and online and across core strategic markets.
They will have a holistic customer centric view of each of our brands and be a UK beauty expert for all our categories
They will enjoy building strong relationships with the lead buyers in our key retailers (Tesco, Boots, Superdrug, Sainsburys, ASDA) across a number of categories: skin, fragrance, AP Deodorants and hair including colourants
Their conversations will be fuelled by overseeing the creation and input of data from numerous commercial and customer data sources, turning it into actionable insights. Their role will be split based on
30% Data Management
30% Insights Creation
30% Strategic Category Reviews
10% adhoc support – global/regional teams
They will also have:
• Direct influence on retailer Range Reviews: Increase brand presence in store through category rational / retail partnership
• Manage and deliver market and consumer data and insight from multiple sources including IRI, RSI, Kantar, IGD, NPD & Boots Ad Card – deliver actionable Insight to help win.
• Help become the Buyer’s “Goto” supplier
• Own the channel / category strategy for top 4 grocery, Boots, Superdrug & digital where possible
• Lead and develop the Data Insights executive.
• Upskill Commercial Team to a stronger Category Based Selling
• Establish and manage strong Category working relationships with all customers to include the delivery of day-to-day workstreams and presentations at key bi-annual strategy days
• Strengthening brands ensuring the right product, marketing and promotional activities are in place
* Develop robust promotional analysis to ensure customer plans are optimised and effective
* Conduct regular pricing analysis to help identify category and ranging opportunities within the market
• Create and communicate vision both to internal & external stakeholder
• Understand Market trends across Revlon categories to be shared with Commercial teams to drive strategy and authority with retailers.
• Build ongoing Insights & Retail Data strategy to include regular retail reporting, one-off trackers, analysis, and actionable learning.
Preferred & Required Skills:
* Results-driven with the ability to establish and leverage credible business relationships.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, strong written skills, creativity and adaptable to changing situations.
* A strategic thinker.
* Competitive and able to work in a fast-paced sales environment.
* Flexible with ability to work under pressure.
* Demonstrate drive, desire and enthusiasm to exceed distribution and ranging targets
* Essential to be self-motivated with a positive outlook.
* A solid understanding of the in-store environment, promotional and POS landscape.
* High level of computer literacy, in particular Excel and PowerPoint.
* Degree educated
* 5 Years’ experience category management experience
* FMCG & Beauty experience essential
* Line management experience desired, but not essential.
