We have a fantastic opportunity in the Strategic Commissioning Team to work with a range of internal and external colleagues in providing business support activities across a number of exciting work programmes and change projects. This is a fixed-term position, ending on 31 March 2026.

The role will involve providing business support activities and project support including:

* Meeting and event co-ordination/ scheduling, agenda planning and minute taking.
* Diary management support to the Head of Strategic Joint Commissioning.
* Drafting management reports and other supporting documentation as required.
* Establishing and organizing Microsoft Teams channels as a means to share and edit documents within groups.

The Business Support Officer role is a varied and rewarding position, offering the post holder exposure to a breadth of activities which span the Social Services and Housing directorate.

Ideal applicants will be highly organised, proactive, with good communication and excellent IT skills.

Previous post holders have moved on to other roles within the commissioning service and within the wider Social Services and Housing Directorate. Whether you are an individual with the ambition to pursue a career within Social Services & Housing, or are keen to develop further in a business administration capacity, we would welcome an application from you.

Whilst this role is advertised as a fixed term appointment, there is a possibility that the position will be extended or become open-ended.
