Safety Improvement Project Coordinator Placement (12.5 months) – Airbus
Location: Airbus Broughton, North Wales, United Kingdom | Start date: 17 August 2026 | Duration: 12.5 months
Responsibilities
* Engage with safety professionals to influence safety strategy and practice across Airbus and its local production teams.
* Develop and deploy project plans to improve safety and the safe use of industrial equipment across the Broughton plant.
* Create project plans, engage multi-functional teams, develop business cases, and report on project status.
* Manage improvement projects aimed at optimizing personnel safety and machinery efficiency; collaborate with transnational teams to identify and implement best practices locally.
Requirements
* Open to Undergraduates for the entire duration of the placement; please provide your graduation date.
* CV and a Cover Letter outlining motivation and suitability.
* Studying towards a degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering, Occupational Safety, or equivalent.
* Nice to have: Project Management skills, strategic thinking, ability to translate improvements into local project plans.
* Ability to build business cases to justify expenditures for improvement projects.
* Team collaboration with multi-stakeholder teams; good communication to engage and influence across functions.
* Proficiency in AI tools and familiarity with Google Suite.
Security and Compliance
* SBSS baseline check required. UK SC-level Security Clearance or Export Control may be required depending on the role.
Benefits
* Salary: £23,400
* 35 hours per week; flexible working hours; half-day Fridays
* 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
