Service Delivery Manager
Location: Stonehouse (office‑based with regional travel)
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 DOE
Im working with a managed service provider thats looking for a Service Delivery Manager to take ownership of their technical support function. This is an office‑based role in Stonehouse with regular travel to nearby customer sites. Youll be responsible for leading a technical team, maintaining strong service levels, and delivering both operational support and project work.
What youll be doing
* Managing the day‑to‑day performance of the service desk and technical support team
* Ensuring service requests and tickets are resolved within SLA
* Coaching, mentoring and developing engineers across all levels
* Running regular customer service reviews and building strong relationships
* Handling escalations and resolving issues quickly and professionally
* Producing operational and performance reports for senior leadership
* Overseeing patching, updates, maintenance and system checks
* Making sure customer environments remain secure, stable and compliant
* Leading IT projects including upgrades, migrations and new solution deployments
* Managing external suppliers and keeping project timelines on track
* Working closely with internal teams to understand requirements and provide guidance

What theyre looking for
* A minimum of 3 years experience in a service delivery or technical leadership role within an MSP
* Strong communication skills with confidence in customer‑facing situations
* Experience developing and managing technical teams
* A customer‑focused approach with excellent attention to detail
* Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
* Proven track record in delivering IT projects and managing suppliers
* Good understanding of infrastructure, cloud technologies, networking and cybersecurity best practice
