Job Description: Revit Technician (MEP)Location: CambridgeWorking Pattern:
Full-time, 5 days per week in office
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Revit Technician (MEP) to join our growing engineering team in Cambridge. This role will support the design and delivery of mechanical, electrical, and public health (MEP) systems across a range of projects, ensuring high-quality BIM models and technical drawings.
Key Responsibilities
1. Produce detailed 3D BIM models using Autodesk Revit for MEP systems
2. Develop coordinated MEP layouts in line with project specifications and design standards
3. Prepare accurate 2D drawings, schematics, and documentation from Revit models
4. Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and other design consultants to ensure coordinated design outputs.
5. Participate in clash detection and coordination meetings (, using Navisworks)
6. Maintain BIM standards and ensure modelsply withpany and project requirements (, ISO 19650 where applicable)
7. Manage and update model data throughout project lifecycle stages
8. Assist with resolving technical design issues and implementing design changes
9. Ensure all deliverables meet deadlines and quality expectations
Key Requirements
10. Proven experience working as a Revit Technician within MEP disciplines
11. Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit (MEP)
12. Good understanding of mechanical, electrical, and public health building services systems
13. Experience producing coordinated BIM models and drawings for construction projects
14. Familiarity with Navisworks or similar clash detection tools
15. Knowledge of UK building regulations and standards is advantageous.
16. Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy
17. Ability to work effectively within a collaborative, office-based team environment
Desirable Skills
18. Experience working in consultancy or contractor environments
19. Understanding of BIM Level 2 / ISO 19650 workflows
20. Familiarity with AutoCAD and other design software
21. Exposure to sustainable design or energy modelling tools
