FM Assistant - Cleaning
Band 2 - £12.51 per hour (£24,465 per annum pro rata) • 20 hours per week (Monday to Sunday 14:00 - 18:00) • Mountnessing Court, Billericay

Unsocial Hours Payments: Saturday – time plus 41% of the salary; Sunday – time plus 83% of the salary.
This post includes weekend shifts and the shift pattern requires 2x members of staff.
Main duties
To ensure that the ward(s) / areas assigned are cleaned in accordance with the Work Schedule for those ward(s) / areas. Duties include vacuuming floors; sweeping, scrubbing and mopping; high and low dusting; wiping and polishing surfaces; cleaning toilets, sinks, baths and showers; cleaning kitchens and related equipment; defrosting fridges regularly; restocking consumables (toilet tissue, hand towels, soap); descaling taps; general waste and bin management including bin liners. (Note: Cleaning of items should be performed as long as they have not been soiled with body fluids.)

Education
* An understanding of cleanliness and good hygiene practices
* Basic understanding of infection control
