Accounts Manager Role Overview
NC Associates are looking to recruit an Accounts Manager on behalf of our Knowsley based client, who are seeking an Accounts Manager to join their small but busy finance team. As the Accounts Manager you will be responsible for managing the financial records across the company.
Accounts Manager Responsibilities:
* Monthly and Weekly Reporting to management
* Pay creditors on a timely basis ensuring cashflow of the business is managed on a daily basis.
* Work with the business to resolve credit control issues, to ensure that our debtor days are as low as possible, focussing on working capital.
* Supporting Directors with month end reporting.
* Prepare bank payment runs and reconciliations.
* Maintain ledgers in Sage for management and statutory accounting requirements.
* Complete monthly bank reconciliations on a timely basis ensuring all transactions are allocated and understood.
* Preparation of the VAT returns.
* Credit Control - Chasing debtors and ensuring balances are collected on a timely basis or appropriately escalated.
* Keeping Sage up to date.
Accounts Manager Experience Required:
* At least 3 years’ experience in similar role
* Familiarity with accounting software like Sage 50 accounts
* AAT or equivalent qualification
* Good level of IT skills. Proven experience of Excel spreadsheets
* Strong data entry skills
* Strong communication skills
* Excellent time management
