*Job Overview*We are seeking a skilled vehicle Technician and/or MOT Tester to join our automotive service team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out minor and major vehicle repairs and diagnostics, as well as conducting MOT tests in accordance with legal requirements and ensuring vehicles meet safety and environmental standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a strong mechanical background to contribute to vehicle safety and compliance.

*Duties*
* Carry out minor and major vehicle repairs and servicing, Cam belt and Clutch replacement and diagnostics.
* Carry out MOT tests on a variety of vehicle makes and models in accordance with DVSA regulations.
* Inspect vehicle components including brakes, lights, steering, suspension, tyres, and exhaust systems.
* Complete all necessary documentation accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
* Identify any defects or issues requiring repair or further investigation and communicate findings clearly to customers or management.
* Maintain the MOT bay and testing equipment to ensure it remains in optimal condition.
* Adhere to health and safety protocols at all times during testing procedures.
* Assist with general vehicle maintenance tasks as required, including minor repairs or adjustments.
*Skills*
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose vehicle issues effectively. Preferably Level 3
* Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
* Experience with vehicle inspection procedures, particularly MOT testing, is highly desirable.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling vehicles or parts.
* Excellent attention to detail to ensure accurate assessments and documentation.
* Good organisational skills to manage multiple tests efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
* Strong communication skills for explaining findings clearly to colleagues or clients. This position is ideal for dedicated professionals committed to vehicle safety standards and continuous improvement within the automotive industry.

Pay: £28,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
