Therole of clinical trainer will initially focus on delivery of CPR andanaphylaxis training to staff across the North Tyneside and Northumberland GPpractices. Training workshops will take place at suitable identified venuesacross the two areas.
Main duties of the job
* Successfully complete the identifiedtrain the trainer courses.
* Travel to training venues including safetransport of training kit. Training kit should be kept at TyneHealth headoffice when not in use and should not be used for any training that is notprovided through the L&D network.
* Ensure a register of attendees iscompleted at each training session and provided to the L&D team.
* Keep up to date with any changes inguidelines and update slides as required. Although the subject topic is notanticipated to change frequently, should keeping updated prove time consuming anegotiation over paid time would be required.
* Represent TyneHealth and the Learningand Development Network to the best of their ability when engaging withstakeholders and trainees.

Job responsibilities
To lead, develop, and deliver high-quality clinical education and workforce development programmes across TyneHealth, supporting the federations commitment to delivering safe, innovative, community-based healthcare closer to patients homes.
The Clinical Trainer role has been developed to support generalpractice staff access training in a more cost effective and flexible way. Oftenpractices need training to be held from their practice sites and at suitabletimes (including early morning, lunchtimes and evenings) so the post holderwill need to be able to support this.
Provision of training for General Practice staff from both thehead office base and in suitable premises, including at the practices. Thiswill begin with CPR and Anaphylaxis training delivery (including practical) butcould develop into other training sessions depending on clinical scope.Provision of training could cover, movement of equipment, the set up of roomsincluding technology and practical equipment, taking registration lists,provision of training, supporting any queries after the training and sharingregistration lists with the L&D Network team.
We are keen to develop this role to support practice needs in linewith the clinical trainer scope. This could be development of training coursesbut also delivery of training outside of the North Tyneside area (such asNorthumberland or Newcastle areas), the post holder would need to feelcomfortable traveling with equipment for this.
