About the Role
We’re looking for a Project Support Officer to join our Project Management Office (PMO) within the COO Directorate. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting the delivery of strategic programmes that make a real difference to people affected by dementia.
At Alzheimer’s Society, we are here for anyone affected by dementia—providing support through some of life’s most challenging moments. We are a diverse community of advisors, supporters, fundraisers, researchers, and specialists, all united by a shared purpose: to create meaningful impact.
In this role, you’ll provide essential project and product support to the PMO, helping to manage and track a strategic portfolio of work. You’ll gain exposure to how large-scale programmes are delivered, while contributing to the development of tools, processes, and systems that ensure effective project delivery and a single source of truth.
We’re looking for someone who lives our values: determined to make a difference, a trusted expert, committed to working better together, and showing genuine compassion.
About You
You’re organized, proactive, and detail-oriented, with a passion for supporting projects and enabling teams to succeed. You enjoy working collaboratively and are confident communicating with colleagues at all levels.
You’re comfortable managing multiple tasks, from coordinating meetings to supporting systems and processes, and you take pride in delivering high‑quality, accurate work. You’re keen to learn and develop your skills within a project environment and are motivated by the opportunity to contribute to meaningful, impactful work.
What You’ll Have
* Experience providing administrative or project support within a team environment
* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
* Confidence using systems and tools (e.g. project management software, Microsoft Office)
* Experience coordinating meetings, taking minutes, and tracking actions
* Good communication skills, with the ability to support and guide colleagues
* Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality
* A collaborative approach and willingness to learn and develop
What You’ll Focus On
* Maintaining and updating project toolkits to support consistent delivery
* Supporting the development and ongoing management of project management tools and systems
* Facilitating tool walkthroughs and supporting user training
* Assisting Project Managers in the delivery of strategic programmes
* Scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, taking minutes, and tracking actions
* Providing guidance and support to colleagues on tools and processes
* Supporting a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and continuous improvement
* Ensuring accurate administration, reporting, and data management across projects
