Job Title: Management Accountant / Financial Controller

They now need a commercially sharp Accountant to take full ownership of their financial control, reporting, and strategic insight.
This isn’t a back-office number-crunching role. This is a senior, trusted position where you’ll work directly with the founders, influence key decisions, and help shape the future of a business with real momentum.
What you need:
You’re a qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) – or have the equivalent experience – with:
* Strong management accounting skills and real experience with cashflow control.
* A commercial mindset – you think beyond the numbers to drive business performance.
* Experience in a fast-paced, owner-led business – you’re comfortable with responsibility and ambiguity.
* Excellent communication skills and the professional backbone to challenge constructively.
* Experience in construction, rail, infrastructure or project-based environments.
It would be great if you also have:
* Understanding of long-term contracts, WIP and accruals.
* Exposure to multi-entity structures or businesses preparing for sale/funding.
Your Role: More Than Accounting – It’s Commercial Leadership
You’ll be the go-to finance expert across the whole business. We’re looking for someone who wants to:
* Take full ownership of monthly management accounts and year-end reporting, and compliance
* Drive project profitability
* Manage cashflow and treasury
* Provide decision-grade insight
* Lead systems and process improvement
In short: you’ll be the financial backbone of the business, giving the founders clarity and confidence to scale.
