Our client is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Payroll Manager to lead their payroll team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to make a significant impact and drive the success of our client's payroll operations.
Role Overview: As a Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of payroll processing and management. You will lead a team of 8 payroll professionals, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, implementing best practices, and conducting manual calculations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage a team of payroll professionals, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
2. Oversee the end-to-end payroll process, including payroll data entry, processing, and distribution.
3. Conduct manual calculations and Excel tasks to ensure accuracy and compliance with payroll regulations.
4. Utilise payroll software, including ITrent, to maintain payroll records and generate reports.
5. Collaborate with HR, finance, and other departments to address payroll-related issues and implement process improvements.
Requirements:
6. Proven experience in a payroll management role, with a strong understanding of payroll operations and regulations.
7. Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve goals.
8. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve payroll discrepancies.
9. Experience in shared services or bureau background preferred.
10. Immediate availability for on-site working during training, transitioning to a hybrid working model.
11. Experience with ITrent software preferred.
12. Proficiency in manual calculations and end-to-end payroll processes.
Salary: £200 - £275 per day DOE
Contract: Temp to perm
Working Pattern: Initially on-site working during training, then transition to a hybrid working model
