St Mark’s is looking for a Teacher of Mathematics to join our dedicated faculty. Salary : MPS 1 – 6 (£32,916 - £45,352) Contract : Permanent, Full-time (0.8 FTE part-time considered) Start Date : 1st September 2026 The Role In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-impact lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. We are looking for a practitioner who believes that every child can succeed in Maths and who is committed to closing attainment gaps through innovative teaching and rigorous assessment. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver effective lessons that challenge students and foster a deep understanding of mathematical principles. Regularly mark work, set purposeful homework, and maintain accurate records of student attainment to ensure targets are met. Contribute to the creation and refinement of schemes of work as part of a forward-thinking subject team. Implement the school’s behaviour policy to maintain a focused, positive, and safe learning environment. Serve as a tutor, delivering PSHE and supporting the personal and social well-being of your students. Actively promote career opportunities within STEM to broaden students’ horizons. About You We are looking for an individual who is: Qualified: You hold QTS and a degree in Mathematics or a strongly related field. An Expert Communicator: Able to explain mathematical logic clearly to students, parents, and colleagues. Data-Driven: Skilled at using assessment data to identify causes for concern and implement interventions. Adaptable: Ready to thrive in a small school environment where you may occasionally teach outside your specialism to support the wider curriculum.
