The Vacancy (in a nutshell)
We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Graduate to join our eCommerce Team in April. Our graduate scheme is designed to develop our future talent by giving you real responsibility from day one. You’ll join a dynamic eCommerce team who will support you throughout with structured training, exciting projects and invaluable industry experience. During your time on programme, you will build a complete understanding of all aspects of the direct-to-consumer team, who provide online delivery solutions for anyone wanting to send a parcel within the UK or abroad. Our customers are very different and range from the infrequent senders who send gifts to family a few times a year to the eBay or Amazon Marketplace sellers shipping up to parcels per week.

1. You’ll work on activities to increase return visits and loyalty from our customer base
2. You’ll support the website and app development team to deliver improvements to journeys, conversion rates and new propositions.
3. You’ll collaborate with the eCommerce Send team to improve digital customer retention, conversion and acquisition of our customer to customer (C2C) shipper base, including private social senders and micro-businesses.
4. You’ll help to manage, implement and maintain our promotions and campaigns across the website, email and paid media and be closely involved with improvements to our website user experience (UX), products and proposition.
5. You’ll support the delivery of the eCommerce trading strategy including the produce and pricing strategy
6. You’ll complete regular, ad-hoc research and reporting, undertaking competitor analysis and monitoring (pricing movements, new propositions and promotions in the market vs our own), creating and implementing customer research surveys, trading analysis etc.
7. You’ll manage customer communications delivery via our e-mail marketing system and across owned, paid and earned media, ensuring that they are delivered accurately and measured effectively
8. You’ll maintain a pool of agreed key messages and monitor consistence of use across channels
9. You’ll support parcel network and operational enquiries using our CRM system and other data to investigate customer behaviour and help support operations, customer services and claims.
10. You’ll develop your network, working across multiple business areas, you’ll collaborate with senior stakeholders and present insights to Heads of and Directors.
11. You’ll receive mentoring and join a network of emerging talent through our EVRi Emerging Talent Development programme.
What you’ll need to become a Commercial Graduate:
12. A minimum of 2:2 degree in Business, Marketing, Digital Marketing, Project Management or any other related field
13. Demonstrable communication, relationship building and stakeholder management skills
14. Creative thinking with a positive sense of initiative and eager to learn
15. Strong analytical, reporting and time management skills.
16. Good attention to detail and ability to turn data in actions.
17. Strong commercial acumen and results focused
18. Computer literate and confident with the MS Office suite.
19. Desirable skills: Experience working on digital campaigns across multiple channels or improving websites and user journeys Prior experience in a B2C or C2C environment and a basic understanding of Google Analytics
This role will be hybrid and candidates will be required to commute to our Head Office in Morley, Leeds once a fortnight.
