Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader seeking an Inpatient Quality Matron role within the Network. If you are compassionate, inclusive, with a can-do approach to changing how we work to achieve positive outcomes for those we care for, and you engage others well to get the best from them, this role could be for you. You will work within a supportive Senior Leadership Team and receive ongoing support and development.
The inpatient units are designed to meet the holistic needs of service users/patients and carers, in a working environment conducive to staff development and wellbeing. The post holder supports the delivery of the inpatient hospital model, providing leadership to professional and direct care staff, and ensuring the availability of appropriate administrative support to release clinical time to care. The post holder will be expected to cover a shift pattern 7/7 throughout 24 hours with colleagues, providing leadership and clinical expertise to capacity and flow, inpatient wards and advice to external agencies as required.
Matrons will provide a visible, accessible and authoritative presence on wards, to whom patients and their families can turn for assistance, advice and support.
Matron duties include maintaining up-to-date clinical practice and driving up clinical and professional standards, leading the quality agenda within the clinical environment.
