TwentyAI are supporting a leading investment bank with a 6 month contract Corporate Events Manager. They are looking for a consultant to join their Meetings and Events team. This position will be responsible for planning, producing and successfully executing in-person events for Business Groups and Enterprise Functions. It has the potential to turn permanent over time, but requires an immediate start.
In this role, you will:
* Plan, manage and execute on all logistical and aspects of enterprise level, multi-day meetings, conferences or events.
* Provides guidance and recommendations on logistics, communication methodologies and contingency planning during the event lifecycle
* Partner with Sourcing & Contracting on vendor bids to match program needs and support on negotiating service needed to execute on programs
* Build and maintain knowledge of WF business line structure and processes
* Establishes and maintains ongoing vendor relationships to ensure they are cost-effective and deliver quality service.
* Fosters relationships with LOB liaisons and displays leadership skills in managing and executing meetings.
* Ensures alignment to the LOB strategy.
* Involved in planner industry forums and is actively involved and up-to-date on industry trends.
* Ensures adherence to compliance and privacy regulations and policies.
* Responsible for identifying and managing all inherent risks.
* Ensuring all tickets are submitted to the Ticket Management System (TMS) team for entry and tracking
* Processing, paying, and tracking all event-related invoices
* Booking venues, restaurants, and meeting rooms
* Ordering catering for all events, including managing dietary requirements and final numbers
* Assisting with finalising event budgets and tracking spend against approvals
* Providing cover for Analyst Marketing activities and roadshows when required
* Overseeing attendee management, including guest lists, registrations, invitations (in partnership with Marketing), badges, and event materials
* Ordering branded merchandise
Desired Experience/Skills:
* Onsite meeting planning and execution experience for events ranging from 50-250 attendees
* Knowledge and experience with contracting, negotiating and partnering with meeting and event vendors including productions, DMC’s, hotel and speakers
* Experience with CVENT or comparable event management tool
* Ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, provide solutions to problems, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
* Ability to manage confidential materials in a professional manner
* Demonstrate emotional intelligence and professional etiquette under pressure
* Ability to adapt and be flexible with the continued changes within the businesses
Required Experience/Skills:
2+ years of corporate meeting & event management/planning experience
2+ Years within the Financial Services Industry
Solid experience within an Event Management Tool
Able to be on-site 4 days per week
