Audit Officer - Bank - London - £55,000 base salary + bonus

* Support the delivery of audit assignments across planning, fieldwork, and reporting, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, quality standards, and regulatory expectations.
* Assist with investigations, special reviews, and ad-hoc audit tasks as required.
* Contribute to continuous monitoring activities, help assess the control environment, and support risk assessments feeding into the annual audit plan.
* Prepare audit work papers on time and help finalise audit reports to departmental standards.
* Validate and close management action plans.
* Provide general support to the audit department on additional relevant tasks.
What you'll need to succeed
* Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
* Professional certifications such as CPA, ACA, ACCA or CIA preferred.
* Experience in Internal Audit, assurance, or risk/control roles within Financial Services-ideally Banking.
* Proven ability to deliver high-quality outputs within set deadlines.
* Understanding of Retail and Corporate Banking products, risks, and controls.
* Data analytics capability is an advantage.
