Working Hours: 35 hours between 08:00 - 17:30 (Monday to Friday)
During peak trading, you will be required to work two Saturdays, to be arranged in advance. This time can be taken back.

Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 dependant on experience

We are seeking an additional HR & Payroll Administrator who is highly organised, proactive, and detail-oriented to join our busy Human Resources team. With a growing workforce and an increasing volume of HR operations, this new, dedicated, supportive role is essential to ensure the smooth, efficient, and consistent running of our day-to-day administrative and recruitment processes. You will work closely with the Human Resources Manager and the HR team, providing crucial support across a broad range of HR functions. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated administrator looking to develop their career in the HR field within a fast-paced commercial environment.
Key Responsibilities
The HR & Payroll Administrator will take ownership of vital administrative and support tasks, including:
Recruitment Administration:
* Assisting with the recruitment cycle by posting job advertisements and coordinating interview schedules.
* Managing administrative duties related to recruitment, including collecting criminal declaration forms and right-to-work checks.
Employee Administration and Data Management:
* Assisting with the accurate and timely maintenance of employee records, including Payroll records and managing data entry.
* Implementing consistent document naming conventions and assisting with the review of HR filing systems to ensure they are organised and up to date, supporting GDPR data retention compliance.
* Supporting HR calculations and spreadsheet work, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
* Assisting in keeping staff information up to date across all systems.
Payroll Administration:
* Supporting the accurate and timely processing of monthly Payroll in collaboration with the HR team and Finance.
* Assisting in providing necessary advice and reports to the accounting department as required for payroll purposes.
* To utilise the HR/Payroll Calendar for deadlines, reminders and monitoring purposes.
* Assisting with the implementation of our various workplace schemes (e.g., parental leave, toil, flexible working) and ensuring they accord with the Employee Handbook and related policies.
* Assisting with the completion of any other day-to-day or ad hoc Payroll-related tasks.
Onboarding and Offboarding Support:
* Providing administrative assistance with the onboarding and offboarding processes for staff, including attending the office for these activities when necessary.
* Helping with undertaking on-site team onboarding and training initiatives.
HR Communication and General Support:
* Assisting with handling day-to-day HR inquiries from staff regarding policies and procedures, escalating where appropriate.
* Drafting and amending process documents, working with the HR Manager to ensure they reflect current practices.
* Drafting, creating, and sending out routine HR-related emails, letters, and memos.
* Assisting with administrative tasks related to employment law changes, such as the reissuing of documentation or issuing of newly required forms.
* Minute-taking for meetings when requested.
* Providing administrative support on future HR projects, including new system implementations or initiatives such as the GDPR project.
* Assisting with providing staff references in line with Company Policy and GDPR.
Staff Engagement and Development:
* Helping to organise staff training, team building, and other staff events.
* Assisting with organising and coordinating staff gifts, including length of service rewards and milestones.
General Responsibilities
* Comply with and be always mindful of all Company Policies, including GDPR and IT User/Security Policies.

Candidate Profile
We are looking for a candidate who is ready to jump in and make an immediate impact:
* Proven administrative experience, preferably in a human resources or similar office environment.
* A highly proactive approach, demonstrating the ability to work independently and on your own initiative.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, at all levels.
* Meticulous attention to detail and strong error-checking capabilities.
* Able to respond to and effectively prioritise workload to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Trustworthy with a sound understanding and commitment to confidentiality.
* Proficient in Google Docs and Google Sheets, with a good overall level of IT literacy.
* Able to work efficiently and productively within a remote working environment, with a suitable home office set up, good internet connection and use of mobile phone.
* Willing to undertake work at work premises or attend meetings when necessary.
