We have an exciting opportunity for an Art Gallery Driver / Assistant to join our team within the Southern region of the UK. This is a manual role involving the safe moving, manual handling, hanging and wrapping of our artwork in both galleries and clients homes. As our galleries are located across the UK, this role may also involve considerable travel to different galleries on a rota basis, helping with the hanging and movement of art for deliveries and artist events.
Successful candidates will be required to interview at our Operations Centre in Lichfield, Staffordshire.
About the role:
1. Travelling across the Southern region and associated areas to many of our galleries to assist our gallery teams.
2. Moving artwork on a daily basis which will include a number of pieces at different sizes and weights.
3. Managing stock control and reporting any issues to your line manager.
4. Supporting gallery staff on home visits where required.
5. Packing and wrapping artwork to a very high standard when touring or moving stock to different locations.
6. Organising the gallery stock rooms.
About you:
7. A full UK Driving licence.
8. Space to keep a company vehicle when not in use i.e driveway or street parking.
9. Experience with driving a van is a luxury but not a necessity.
10. Confidence and experience driving across the country.
11. Able to work Monday – Friday with the additional weekend and evening cover for events and home approval support.
12. Comfortable with using ladders to hang art work (training will be provided).
13. Experience with dealing with stock take and scanning systems.
14. The role requires that you have a naturally positive and professional attitude and helpful approach as you will be the face of our brand.
