Assistant Bar & Restaurant Manager (Holiday Park)
At Verdant Parks, we know that a fantastic holiday experience starts with delivering exceptional service in our bars and restaurants. We’re looking for an Assistant Bar & Restaurant Manager who takes pride in the fundamentals: attention to detail, consistency, and leading by example.
Salary: £34,000 per year
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: 45 hours per week over 5 days, including weekends and bank holidays.
Location: Riverside, School Rd, Wooler, Northumberland, NE71 6NJ.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Assisting in recruiting and training the bar and waiting teams.
* Oversee the front of house operations when the Bar & Restaurant Manager is absent.
* Ensure customer satisfaction is maintained – complete spot checks with customers.
* Be knowledgeable about the product range.
* Help organise the staff rota to ensure adequate resources at all times.
* Assist with ongoing stock management, minimising waste and maintaining GP’s.
* Implement all Health & Safety and legislative requirements.
* Ensure the bar is well stocked at all times.
* Assist in promoting the venue via Social Media channels and the marketing team.
* Ensure Health & Safety obligations are adhered to at all times.
Qualifications
* Previous experience managing a bar and restaurant.
* Demonstrated ability to reduce waste and increase sales.
* Experience in managing, developing and motivating a staff team.
* Strong communication skills.
* Good knowledge of licensing laws (a personal license is desirable).
* Ability to train and coach a large Front of House team, deliver excellent service, and resolve customer complaints rapidly and cost‑effectively.
