Quality Assurance (QA) Lead
. This is a hybrid role that offers an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking, hands-on leader to take ownership of software testing initiatives within an organisation undergoing
transformation and technology adoption
. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping and implementing robust testing strategies, leading a team of testers and developers, and ensuring quality standards are consistently met.
As the
QA Lead
, you will drive process improvements, foster collaboration across teams, and play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality software solutions that align with organisational goals. Experience with a range of testing platforms and/or the adoption of new tools is desirable, as is a strong understanding of the property industry, though this is not essential.

Key Responsibilities:
* Strategy & Planning:
Define the overall testing approach, including what's tested, how it's tested, and when, while ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and project timelines.
* Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and guide the QA team, ensuring effective task delegation and prompt removal of roadblocks. Foster a collaborative team environment where individuals can thrive.
* Process Ownership:
Ensure QA processes and best practices are followed, while identifying opportunities to refine and optimise workflows.
* Communication Bridge:
Act as the link between QA, development teams, product managers, and stakeholders, ensuring technical insights from testing are translated into actionable business decisions.
* Risk Management:
Proactively identify potential quality risks and work with teams to mitigate or resolve them prior to release.
* Metrics & Reporting:
Track and assess quality metrics, including test performance, defect trends, and release readiness, and communicate findings to facilitate informed decision-making.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
* Strong
experience leading test teams and developers
, fostering productivity and collaboration.
* Demonstrated expertise in defining and implementing comprehensive
test strategies
.
* Advanced knowledge of
automation testing
tools and frameworks (e.g., Mabl, AcelQ, Cypress, or similar).
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present technical testing data to
stakeholders
as meaningful insights.
* In-depth understanding of
risk management
within software quality assurance, with a track record of resolving project issues effectively.
* Proven ability to monitor and report on
quality metrics
to improve testing outcomes and accelerate release cycles.
Desirable Skills:
* Familiarity with the
property industry
or experience working on real estate-related digital products.
* Experience with
Agile project management methodologies
such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe.
* Hands-on exposure to a variety of testing platforms or the implementation of new tools to enhance QA processes.
Education & Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* Extensive experience in a Quality Assurance leadership role, preferably within technology-driven or transformation projects.
