About the Role
Base Location: Dublin or Belfast

At SSE Renewables, safety is our number one priority. It's at the heart of everything we do. Reporting to the Offshore SHE Manager for Ireland, you will provide Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP) support to all SSE Renewables Irish offshore projects both in development and execution phases, to ensure compliance with PSDP duties as defined under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013 (S.I. No. 291 of 2013).
Key Responsibilities
- Advise and assist SSE Renewables in discharging their PSDP duties, and monitor the performance of all key PSDP duty holders to ensure ongoing compliance with the Construction Regulations 2013, highlighting any concerns to SSER.
- Assist in the identification of hazards arising from the design or from the technical, organisational, planning or time related aspects in relation to the Irish offshore projects and where possible, eliminate the hazards or reduce the risks.
- Development of the Preliminary Safety & Health Plan and Safety File.
- Complete due diligence exercises, SHE assessments / audits of businesses, organisations and contractors as and when required.
- Support the Offshore Safety, Health & Wellbeing (SHW) Manager for Ireland, with other various SHW requirements as and when required.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- A degree level in Occupational Health and Safety Management.
- Experience advising/acting in the role of PSDP.
- Offshore/Marine SHW development and construction experience.
- Extensive working knowledge of Irish safety regulations.
- Excellent communication skills with a natural flair for forging relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.
Travel to various sites will be required as part of this role, therefore, a full and valid driving licence is essential.
