The College Merthyr Tydfil is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and committed individual to join our very successful Business, Management and Tourism team.
Applicants for the post will hold a relevant professional qualification in Tourism and/or Business related areas to a degree level or above and a teaching qualification to PGCE/Certificate in Education level 5 or equivalent or be prepared to work towards achieving a teaching qualification.
A DBS check and EWC registration are requirements of the post.

Job purpose
To deliver a range of Tourism and Busness subjects across Levels 1 to 3 and to act as course tutor for specific courses. To assist with the co-ordination and development of the tourism and business provision within the college.
Key responsibilities
1. To provide teaching, learning and assessment of business and tourism across Levels 1-3.
2. A detailed knowledge of Pearson and NCFE Tourism and Pearso Business curriculum and its means of delivery, including internal and external assessment.
3. Assist with the delivery of Literacy and Numeracy skills in the division.
4. Assist with the delivery of Essential Skills Wales and Welsh Baccalaureate qualifications within the division.
5. To provide support for the quality assurance of tourism and business programmes.
6. To provide pastoral support to a group of learners.
7. To maintain a safe working environment at all times.
8. To liaise with employers in the field of tourism and business to develop employability opportunities for learners.
9. To assist and contribute to an enrichment programme for tourism and business learners.
10. To assist in the maintenance of learner recording systems including tracking documents.
11. To adhere to the College schedule of assessment and reviews.
12. To assist with the College marketing and publicity as and where required and attend marketing and enrolment events.
