We are looking for a Multimedia Communications Officer, with a focus on web and accessibility to join our digital team and play a lead role in delivering improvements to North Yorkshire Council’s website content.
The council’s website is the front door to our services and is used millions of times a year by the residents of North Yorkshire. Following the eight former councils across the county merging to form North Yorkshire Council, we are continuing to restructure and rewrite our content as we replace multiple systems with single solutions.

Base pay range
Grade: JK
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Location: Northallerton, North Yorkshire
Hybrid working arrangements apply
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the delivery of accessible, user-friendly web and intranet platforms.
* Produce high-quality digital content and campaigns.
* Support emergency communications for the North Yorkshire Local Resilience Forum.
* Collaborate with IT, Customer, and Transformation teams to improve digital services.
* Use analytics and research to enhance performance and customer experience.
Showing a passion for writing and delivering excellent and effective content, you would act as a champion for our residents and their customer journey to ensure the new content enables them to access information and services as easily and effectively as possible.
