The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, including loading and unloading materials, as well as basic mechanical knowledge for equipment repair.DutiesSafely operate vehicles to transport goods to various locations.Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment, ensuring safety protocols are followed.Utilise a warehouse management system to track inventory and manage shipments effectively.Perform routine checks and maintenance on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.Handle shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying deliveries and preparing outgoing shipments.Assist with materials handling within the warehouse, ensuring efficient organisation of stock.Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including basic math calculations for inventory management.Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations within the warehouse environment.RequirementsProven experience in a warehouse setting is preferred.Familiarity with warehouse management systems is advantageous.Strong mechanical knowledge for basic equipment repair tasks.Ability to operate a forklift and other materials handling equipment safely.Capability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role.Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.Basic mathematical skills for inventory tracking and reporting purposes.A valid driving licence is essential, along with a clean driving record.
