About the role
The Leicester Real Estate team are in expansion mode and are looking for a further lawyer to join them. The team require an enthusiastic driven lawyer with 3 years' PQE+ ideally with experience of acting for clients in the retail sector and/or landlord and tenant matters. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside Partner, Caroline Smith, as she embeds a number of household names into the Firm.There will be opportunities to develop client management skills as the successful candidate will assist in strengthening and expanding client relationships.You would be based in our central Leicester office.

Our Leicester Real Estate department, led by Partner Sam Pancholi, is a key part of this national group and covers every aspect of real estate work, including commercial development, residential land sales, investment, asset management, property finance, and regeneration projects, as well as sector-focused work such as retail and care.Our Leicester Real Estate team currently has 10 lawyers and is a busy, driven and high performing team with high quality clients and work.It is on a growth trajectory, and this is an exciting opportunity to play a role in that growth.
Your skills and qualifications
* Have directly relevant previous experience and have the correct level of post qualified experience (PQE) for the role in question.
* To have a strong commercial acumen and understanding of the industry.
* A proven track record of competent financial management, ability to meet client expectations and sound case management skills.
* To be a self-starting, friendly individual with excellent interpersonal skills and a desire to consistently provide high levels of client service.
* To be able to consistently demonstrate and embody the firm's values.
* Good IT skills, experience, and confidence with using case management systems, electronic time recording and general Microsoft packages.

* Competent financial management and commercial awareness, including accurate time recording, billing, achievement of firm delivered targets and management of WIP.
* To contribute actively toward business development opportunities to ensure the retention of existing clients and expansion of the business.
* To ensure at all times that you maintain up to date technical expertise.
* To be competent at all times in accordance with the SRA competence standards
