A Kitchen Porter's main responsibilities are to maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen by washing dishes and equipment, sweeping and mopping floors, and sanitising surfaces.
Responsibilities
 * Kitchen maintenance: Keep the entire kitchen area clean, tidy, and organised. This includes deep cleaning fridges, freezers, and storage areas.
 * Food preparation: Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks, such as washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients.
 * Deliveries and storage: Receive and unpack deliveries, ensuring that items are stored correctly in the appropriate locations.
 * Inventory support: Help with maintaining ingredient inventory and keeping storage areas organised.
 * Equipment care: Ensure that all kitchen equipment is clean, properly stored, and in good working order.
 * Team support: Work with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations, following instructions from chefs and supervisors
Skills and Qualifications
 * Awareness of Food Hygiene and Health and Safety standards.
