Job Title: Design Technology Teacher Location: Sheffield (S11) Salary: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time Are you a creative and skilled Design Technology Teacher looking to inspire innovation and practical learning? GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Design Technology Teacher to work in schools across Sheffield (S11). As a Design Technology (DT) Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering practical and theory-based lessons in areas such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, or Engineering. You will encourage students to develop technical skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities while ensuring a safe and structured workshop environment. Responsibilities: Plan and deliver high-quality Design Technology lessons across key stages 3, 4 and 5 Teach practical and theory elements in line with the national curriculum Prepare students for GCSE examinations and coursework assessments Maintain a safe working environment in workshops and practical settings Differentiate lessons to support learners of varying abilities Assess, monitor, and report on student progress Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent teaching qualification Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design Technology or a related subject Experience as a Design Technology Teacher is desirable Strong classroom management skills Excellent organisational and communication skills Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or completing a new application.
